About Us:

North Jersey Company History:

Dollars For Shopping started publishing direct-mail coupon books in Livingston, NJ back in the spring of 1978. Those little yellow coupon books were very recognizable and gathered a great following. The company published quarterly and remained in the same format through 1998. Then in the spring of 1999 founder of the Brooklyn Marketeer Larry Ross Weinberger, and former NYC Marketeer publisher Jerry Mallach purchased Dollars For Shopping and made the transition to a monthly full-color, half-tabloid shopper format and called it The Marketeer. In June of 2007 we grew the format once again to a full-tabloid, full-color shopping publication. The new format deserved a new name, so we are now know as The Marketeer's NJ Shopping and Dining . The Marketeer experienced its humble beginnings at a Mill Basin (Brooklyn) kitchen table in 1981; The Marketeer in Brooklyn, Staten Island and Manhattan has grown to become the largest weekly shopper in NYC reaching over 500,000 families every week. Now in all five boroughs, Newsday's Marketeer is one of the strongest most recognized shoppers in the industry.
